Björk has shared that she wish to see extra feminine administrators taking over the Viking Age in movie and TV.
The musician and actor stars in Robert Eggers’ new viking epic The Northman as a whispering Seeress predicting the way forward for Alexander Skarsgård’s Amleth.
The movie follows Amleth as he seeks revenge for the homicide of his father, performed by Ethan Hawke, and goals to save lots of his mom Queen Gudrún, performed by Nicole Kidman. Different stars embody Anya Taylor-Pleasure, Claes Bang and Willem Dafoe.
Posting to Fb after attended the Icelandic premier of the movie, Björk shared a press release about her function and to thank these concerned.

She then paid homage to the Viking Age and expressed a want to see extra feminine filmmakers tackle the time interval.

The Northman shall be launched in UK cinemas on April 22 – you’ll be able to check out the official trailer here.
In the meantime, Björk is among the acts announced for this year’s Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
The competition will run from July 1-16 on the shores of Lake Geneva, and have an all-new structure for 2022. In addition to its traditional two venues – the Auditorium Stravinski and the Montreux Jazz Lab – the competition will reveal its “beating coronary heart” within the type of a Lake Home venue.
