With the World Boxing Association female super flyweight absolute title as the main attraction, the new round of weigh-ins was successfully held at the Casino of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The XXXVIII edition of the emblematic international and social event of KO Drugs, continues its development.
The WBA champion Maribel Ramirez arrived from to Argentina and has calmly complied with the weigh in, by stopping the scale at 112.65 pounds. Local challenger and rising star Clara Lescurat also weighed 112.65. Lescurat owns the black and gold Gold belt and will now seek to become the new absolute champion in a difficult Latin duel.
In addition, the Olympian from Argentina, Leandro Blanc, who weighed 105.38 pounds, is fighting for the Fedelatin light flyweight title against a tough Mexican fighter such as German Valenzuela, who weighed in at 107.58 pounds.
Other titles will be in dispute. In a promising bout of quality boxing, Argentinean prospect Brian Suarez, who weighed 172.95 pounds, will fight undefeated Venezuelan Albert Ramirez Duran, who weighed in at 173.83 pounds. The continental light heavyweight belt will be at stake.
And finally, the vacant WBA international super featherweight belt will be disputed between the Cuban Pablo Vicente with 128.97 pounds and the Colombian Manuel Gonzalez with 129.19 pounds. And completing the bill in the super featherweight category in six rounds, the Aztec Jorge Martinez and the local Fabian Orosco.
